Michael Politowicz suffered physical and psychological wounds from an IED in Afghanistan. He had difficulty interacting with people and being in large groups. Psychiatric help and support from a veteran’s group helped with his stress, and cycling helped him stay active. He later returned to active duty with the Marines.
